THE UMBRELLA THIEF (2024) - 25 min

Based on the rivetting short story by Carolina Nabuco, published in 1966, The Umbrella Thief tells the true story of a young man who steals from a benevolent housewife. With religious undertones and an award-winning sensorial score by Rapha Grumser, the film offers a refreshing take on a timeless tale of salvation in the face of death.

Premiered at the 2024 Clapham International Film Festival.

FARE WELL (2023) - 15 min.

FARE WELL is a short film about the life of a guitar, whose story is told in six parts, each with a different cast portraying key moments in the instrument's life. Inspired by early 20th century silent films, FARE WELL forgoes dialogue and diegetic sound so that its music—an eclectic six-piece score composed by Rapha Grumser, Lipe Portinho, and Pille-Rite Rei—can take center stage.

Premiered at Rio de Janeiro's Museum of Modern Art (MAM).

MOULDING ALDERNEY (2023) - 35 min

Moulding Alderney is a medium-length documentary that follows the work of British visual artist Piers Secunda as he investigates and produces art about the Holocaust on the British Channel Island of Alderney. Following its premiere at the artist's exhibition in London, the film was acquired as an educational resource by The University of Cambridge.

Premiered at Cromwell Place Gallery in London.

This promotional video was comissioned by Favos, a Brazilian clothing company branded as ‘a decentralized fashion movement’. In Another Me, a young photographer finds his doppleganger.
Written in Italian, this quirky short was and directed for the Cinema da Gema YouTube channel, whose mission was to produce one short film per week during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the end, eight short films
were made.
